New Client  FAQ

What Happens During the Intake Process? The intake appointment is your first step into care. During this visit, a clinician will review consent forms, discuss your concerns and goals, and learn about your mental health, substance use history, and support system. This conversation helps us understand your needs and recommend services that best support your wellness and recovery.

How do you schedule an appointment? Appointments can be scheduled by calling our office, speaking with our administrative team, or through an approved referral. Our staff will guide you through the scheduling process, required paperwork, and next steps for beginning services.

What should I expect at my first appointment? Your first appointment focuses on building comfort and understanding your goals. You will meet with a clinician, review expectations for care, and begin developing a treatment plan together. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What services do you provide? We provide support for mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Services may include individual counseling, group therapy, recovery support services, case management, and other personalized interventions based on your needs.

Is treatment confidential? Yes. Your privacy is protected under federal and state confidentiality laws. Information about your care is not shared without your written permission except in limited situations required by law related to safety. Confidentiality policies are reviewed during intake.

Are services in person or telehealth? Services may be offered in person, through secure telehealth sessions, or a combination of both depending on clinical needs and availability. Our team will help determine the option that works best for you.

How Often Will I Attend Treatment? Treatment frequency varies based on individual needs and clinical recommendations. Some clients attend weekly sessions, while others participate in more structured programs. Your schedule will be developed collaboratively and adjusted as progress is made.

What If I Need to Cancel or Reschedule? If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact the office as soon as possible. Providing advance notice helps maintain continuity of care and allows appointment times to remain available for all clients.

Will I Be Judged for My Experiences or Substance Use? No. Our services are provided through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. We understand that everyone’s journey is different, and our role is to support your healing, growth, and recovery with respect and understanding.

Can Family Members Be Involved in Treatment? With your permission, family members or supportive individuals may be included in treatment when appropriate. Family involvement can strengthen support systems and improve treatment outcomes while respecting your comfort and confidentiality.

Do You Accept Insurance or Self-Pay? We accept multiple payment options which may include insurance, self-pay, and approved funding sources. Our administrative team will help you understand coverage, eligibility, and any financial responsibilities before services begin.

What Are My Rights as a Client? As a client, you have the right to respectful and dignified care, participation in treatment planning, confidentiality, and the ability to ask questions or voice concerns about services. Our program is committed to providing safe, equitable, and person-centered care.
